From the moment they start waving their little arms, rolling over, and sitting up, our babies are working away on their motor skills. By the preschool years, they are whizzing around the playground so fast that we can barely keep up with them. Indeed, they are moving so quickly from one physical feat to the next that we hardly recognize them - can that be my child, riding by on her trike, all by herself? How did that happen? Just as when she was learning to walk, it happened one step at a time.
