School Philosophy and Mission
Children's Country House is dedicated to providing an enriched environment and hands-on education for children 2-5 following the guidelines of noted child psychologists such as Piaget. The school provides an alternative education style for parents of all racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds, providing an anti-bias curriculum that allows children to learn through self-discovery and with respect for different people groups. We also make a strong effort to educate parents about how children learn through play and through active involvement in their environment using age appropriate activities. We teach parents that by using this approach, as opposed to rote learning experience, children will develop self-esteem and self-confidence in their ability to learn and control their actions.
