School Philosophy and Mission
"Our Goals and Objectives:
To help children know God created a good and beautiful world.
To learn that they were created by God, that they are unique and very special, and that God has a wonderful plan for their life. To provide a warm, loving and secure environment at school. To give each child an opportunity to make new friends and to learn to respect the rights and feelings of each other. To help children develop self-esteem and a positive self identity. To help children gain respect for persons in authority, and to learn to follow directions. To prepare children to become independent, enthusiastic, and curious learners all through their lives. To identify and develop curriculum units as a method of developing social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.
Our Mission Statement:
The purpose of St. Andrew UMC Children's Weekday Program is to provide learning opportunities for children which are developmentally appropriate, intellectually stimulating and spiritually nurturing in a safe, loving environment. Activities are planned and directed by caring adults who are chosen for their skills with children and commitment to Christian education.
