School Philosophy and Mission
"Franklin Park Preschool can best be described as a "learn through play" school. In early childhood, children learn social and academic skills through play. The school's curriculum is provided in a relaxed and safe atmosphere in which the child feels a sense of order and stability. Adults working with the children differ from day to day, but share the common mission for the school. The school has a regular routine that provides reality for the child, and allows the flexibility to satisfy the child's changing needs. It is a place where children can explore through getting dirty, wet, sandy, manipulating clay, painting, and finger painting; A place where a child can engage in many activities not usually available at home.
