Squirrel Hunt
ages 1-4
Activity Detail
We leave the house and set out on a squirrel hunt. We spy them in trees, digging up nuts, chasing other squirrels. Count how many you can find! It's great - they are everywhere!
Comments
If you live in a very urban environment where squirrels are not commonplace, you can substitute for something that is. For example, go on a hunt for blue cars or mailboxes or something that is readily at hand.

A fun way to learn counting. It is also fun to talk about what the squirrels are doing and why.
