One for the Money...
ages 1-4
Supplies
Couch cushions
Activity Detail
When your kids need to expend a little energy but going outside may not be an option, remove the pillows from your couch and place them directly in front of the couch. Then explain that the child can climb up and jump onto the cushions. We often count "One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to GO!" and the kids love jumping off at go. This is great for teaching listening and stopping and starting movement. And it burns energy on those rainy or cold days!
Comments
My kids would LOVE doing this. I'd definitely have to move the coffee table first though, and I'm not sure how I feel about having the couch cushions jumped on. I think I'll save this one for a rainy day when I'm feeling really desperate.
