Indoor Tennis
ages 2-5
Supplies
Splatter screen, small stuffed fabric balls
Activity Detail
My son invented a great new indoor game when he found a splatter screen in the kitchen and started hitting one of his stuffed fabric balls...indoor tennis! Splatter screens are wire mesh covers with a plastic handle that are made to keep grease from popping out of the pan when frying food. They are very light weight and easy for a toddler to wield without damaging home furnishings. The screens can be purchased for less than $10 at home, kitchen, and discount stores. Small stuffed fabric balls work perfectly as tennis balls.

What a great game to play on a rainy day or day that is too hot to be outside!

This activity can be modified by placing a bowl or container 3 to 5 feet from your child and having them aim their balls into it.
